Who is responsible

Peektok is built and edited by an independent developer publishing under the name BrandCowan. The same editor maintains the product, reviews the guides, handles correction requests, and reviews reports about links displayed by the service. The site does not present anonymous guest posts or paid contributor articles as independent editorial work.

A public byline links to the about page. We do not invent degrees, certifications, employers, or personal experience. Legal, safety, and privacy pages explain general information and product behavior; they are not individualized professional advice.

Why the content exists

Articles are selected when they answer a recurring question that arises from using a public viewer: what is visible without an account, why a result can be incomplete, how short links resolve, what public counters mean, and what rights or privacy limits still apply. We do not publish unrelated high-volume topics simply to increase page count.

Every guide should leave the reader able to complete a task, understand a limitation, or make a safer decision without needing to click an advertisement. Product links are included when they are directly relevant, not disguised as editorial recommendations.

How guides are produced

1. 1. Define the user question. The article starts with a specific task or misconception rather than a keyword list.
2. 2. Check the current product. The editor verifies the relevant input path, output fields, error states, and public-access boundary.
3. 3. Check primary sources. Platform behavior, copyright guidance, privacy statements, and browser behavior are checked against first-party or official sources where available.
4. 4. Write the limits. Guides state what cannot be concluded from a result and avoid promises about private access, completeness, legality, or future availability.
5. 5. Review and date. The editor checks the final page for factual consistency with the live product and records a review or modification date.

Source standards

We prefer official TikTok help, safety, privacy, and terms pages for statements about the platform; government or recognized nonprofit sources for legal and safety concepts; and direct product tests for statements about Peektok. Secondary articles may provide context but should not be the only support for a consequential claim.

When a source and the observed product behavior disagree, the article describes the uncertainty instead of presenting one observation as a universal rule. Public counts and feature availability are time-sensitive, so guides use dates and qualify point-in-time checks.

Automation and AI assistance

Software may assist with outlines, copy editing, code checks, link checks, translation drafts, or identifying repeated language. No page is published solely because an automated system generated it. The editor is responsible for selecting the topic, checking claims against the product, removing unsupported statements, and approving the final page.

We do not use automation to create thousands of near-identical profile or video pages. User lookup results stay inside the tool and are not published as indexable content pages.

Updates and corrections

High-change guides are reviewed when a product release changes an input, output, provider, or limitation. A date change should reflect a real review, not a cosmetic freshness update. Material corrections update the article body and modification date; minor spelling or layout fixes may not.

To request a correction, email [email protected]with the URL, the statement at issue, and evidence or reproduction steps. We prioritize errors that could affect privacy, rights, safety, or a user's ability to complete the described task.

Advertising and independence

Peektok is free and may use Google AdSense to help cover infrastructure and maintenance. Advertisers do not select article topics, approve conclusions, or receive favorable coverage. Advertising should be distinguishable from publisher content and should not be placed on empty, error-only, or purely navigational screens.

The site does not accept payment to change a factual comparison, suppress a legitimate correction, or describe a restricted feature as available. If commercial relationships are added later, they will be disclosed near the affected content.

Translations

Localized product pages are translations of the supported public workflow. English is the source language for long-form editorial articles. Translated pages should not claim features or guarantees that are absent from the English source. Pages that have not yet received equivalent editorial depth may be kept out of search indexing until they are expanded and manually reviewed.
