About Peektok
A small public-data tool with documented limits
Peektok helps people open public TikTok profiles and posts without creating or using a TikTok login. It is an independent service, not a TikTok or ByteDance product, and it does not claim access to private accounts or login-only information.

Why Peektok exists
TikTok's signed-out web experience can make a simple public lookup harder than it needs to be. A person may only want to confirm a creator's username, check a visible follower count, open a public video on a desktop browser, or resolve a short link without installing an app. Peektok puts those narrow tasks in one interface.
The product is intentionally read-only. It cannot follow an account, post a comment, send a message, reveal a viewer identity, or change anything on TikTok. It also does not publish a new indexed page for every searched profile or video. Lookup results remain inside the tool.
Who runs the site
BrandCowan — Founder & Editor
Peektok is built, edited, and maintained by one independent developer publishing under this name. The same person reviews product guides, tests changes, answers correction requests, and handles reports about public references displayed by the service.
No academic, legal, security, or platform affiliation is claimed. Where a topic involves law, safety, or privacy, the site explains general product limits and points readers toward source material rather than presenting individualized professional advice.
How the service gets results
After a username or TikTok URL is validated, a Cloudflare Worker requests currently available public information from configured third-party data providers. Peektok then normalizes the response into one display format. Media may load from source delivery hosts, but Peektok does not keep a permanent media library.
Because public platform behavior and provider availability change, a result can be cached, delayed, partial, or unavailable. The service does not fill missing fields with guesses. The full request path, cache windows, logging, and test process are documented on How Peektok works.
What is collected
Raw search text is used to complete a lookup and is hashed before query telemetry is stored. Limited operational data can include the input type, country code, cache status, timestamp, and provider outcome. Recent searches displayed beneath the input are stored locally in the user's browser.
Removal reports are retained so they can be reviewed. They can include the submitted TikTok URL, the reason, an optional reply email, and a timestamp. See the privacy policy for the complete description.
How content is written and reviewed
Guides are based on the supported product workflow, direct tests of its inputs and failure states, and primary sources where available. Articles are not automatically published from search keywords, scraped pages, or user lookups. Each article has a visible byline and review date, and material updates change the modification date.
Software and AI tools may assist with editing, translation drafts, code checks, and detecting repeated language. The site editor remains responsible for the topic, factual review, product testing, corrections, and final publication. More detail is available in the editorial policy.
Funding and advertising
Peektok is free to use. Advertising scripts are disabled during the current review. After consent checks and explicit activation, only the blog index and six reviewed core guides may carry ads. Homepages, all tools, downloads, trust, legal, report, and error pages remain ad-free. Ads do not determine article topics or conclusions.
Advertising and analytics vendors have their own data practices. The privacy page explains the current integrations and the choices available to visitors.
Corrections, rights, and contact
For factual corrections or product questions, email [email protected]. Include the page URL and enough detail to reproduce the issue. Rights, privacy, or safety concerns about a displayed public reference should use the report formso the request can be tracked consistently.
Peektok is not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance. TikTok is a trademark of ByteDance Ltd. Public availability does not transfer ownership or grant permission to republish a creator's work.
